I am having an issue with the syncing of my imap account on outlook 2007.  The new e-mails show up but it never stops trying to sync.  I have to cancel the sync for any new e-mails to come in or to open new e-mails.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am using gmail

Hi Chaddews,

Press “CTRL+ALT+S” and open “Send/Receive Groups” settings option. Now, disable the “Schedule an automatic send/receive when exiting” dialog box as IMAP account does not need any kind of parameter to send or receive emails in Microsoft Outlook.

Feel Free to respond back!!!!

Thanks
