TFS folder contains non donwloaded items

I am using TFS with Dynamics AX and some of my files cannot be added to version control as it says they already exist.  When I go into Visual Studio and browse the source control folder, I can see the file names listed in a folder, but it shows them as "Not downloaded".  How can I get rid of these "Not downloaded" entries or get my files to actually download here?

I've run into the semi-annoying habit TFS has of keeping track of whether it's already fetched things, rather than checking to see if something already exists and it matches what's in source control. For example, if you get the latest copy of the code and then delete a file outside of Visual Studio, then do another "get latest", it won't re-fetch the file you deleted because it thinks it already did that - you have to force it to fetch the current version before it will replace the missing file.

That said, there's no easy work-around - is it possible that you can remove the file it thinks isn't downloaded yet and then fetch the file from TFS? If necessary, you can then replace the previous copy with the original one, though if it's different than what's already in TFS, make sure it gets properly checked in and updated.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  This seems to have worked and I have a stable (I hope) system now.  Thanks for your help.
