I have a HP ProBook 450 G1 laptop and a HP 2005pr USB 2.0 Port Replicator. Everything was working fine until recently when the video stopped working. I can plug the monitor into the VGA port on the laptop and the monitor works fine. I have seen this issue several times before with the exact same setup and the port replicator is new so I am sure the issue is not hardware. Every time I have a docking station issue, the problems ends up being software.
I have tried the following to fix it.
Unplugged power from laptop and docking station. Removed laptop battery and drained power.
Uninstalled and reinstalled latest port replicator and video driver from the HP website.
Checked video settings but second monitor is not found.
Installed the latest BIOS
Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this no video problems with the port replicator?
