Hello EE,

I have a new Windows 8.1 laptop and am unable to get Vsphere client 5.1 installed.  I am running VMware-viclient-all-5.1.0-786111.exe and it starts the install but then as it extracts and I see it go through to 100% and goes away nothing else happens and it isn't installed.

This because the vSphere Client you are using was released before Windows 8.1, and is *NOT* compatible with Windows 8.1.

Download and use the VMware vSphere Client 5.0 Update 3, this was fixed and corrected for Windows 8.1.
