Migration Windows 2012 Essential

Present Environment: Single Windows 2008 SP1 Standard Server, AD, DC, DNS, DHCP, 7 users

A have a new Windows 2012 Essential server for migration

When I start the Windows 2012 Essential it automatically asks me if I want a "New Installation" or a "Migration". No way to continue and to just start Windows 2012 Essential manually and migrate later

I do want to migrate but I want to do it manually and next week (ADPREP, DCPROMO, transfert 5 FMSO Roles, ect...)

Is there a way to start the Essential server manually and migrate later whithin the 21 days allowed ?

No. Essentials licensing requires that it be a DC and hold the FSMO roles. Since that is a requirement, if you don't choose to migrate during setup, it'll make itself a DC during initial setup. Once that is done there is no way to go back and make it a replica DC in another domain. It's a one-shot deal.

I do want to migrate but not now (next week)
Meantime I want to start the essential server as a standalone server, just for testing OK with hardware, ect...
No way to do that ?

THanks
