Put it in the public folder
I'm not clear on your problem?

Which version of Office IT Blount?
I'm probably using an outdated version of office to you, Office 2003,  I actually use Office dot org.
but I see what you mean.
If you put these into the custom templates  %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\
on everyone's computer when they rightclick and go to file new > open on my computer they will see that template.
I opened a word doc and file new there on the right is the opens

Office 2010 is installed on each system. It would be Word 2010 as well. The template is actually ready to send out, I just wanted to find a way to add it to everyone's system quickly, versus going to each pc to do it.

One more. I was about to add it to my previous but you beat me.
Deploy custom templates in Office 2010
In Microsoft Office 2010, you can create and deploy templates that users can select when they create new documents, presentations, or worksheets.
