"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you are changing the internal Static IP, then you need to change the Firewall to port forward to the new internal IP Address and all will be well.

If you are changing the Public Static IP, then you need to update the MX record(s) to point to the new Static IP Address and then ask your ISP to add Reverse DNS to the new Static IP Address and then everything will be fine, assuming the new IP Address you are changing to isn't listed on any Blacklists sites e.g., www.blacklistalert.org / www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
