I have a few forms that take a couple seconds to load depending upon connection.  Is there a windows spinning circle splash screen I can load temporarily until the other screen shows up?

Yes I agree that what you posted works, but what I'm asking is why do you want something different since it does work? Or is it that you just don't know how to use what you posted as a splash screen?

I'm going to assume that you just need help using the splash screen so try this. The "secret" is setting the project's Startup Object to Sub Main.

It looks ok.  I was hoping for something that looked closer to the windows circle that you see in Windows 7/8

OK, here's a zip containing an old project of mine and the 'aero busy' animated cursor renamed as a txt file because EE won't allow an ani file. Rename 'aero busy.txt' to 'aero busy.ani', run the project and select that cursor. It doesn't create a splash screen but rather it displays that cursor for 10 seconds.
