What is wrong with what you posted?

I downloaded 2.zip, unzipped it to my Desktop and it works fine with vb6.

Yes I agree that what you posted works, but what I'm asking is why do you want something different since it does work? Or is it that you just don't know how to use what you posted as a splash screen?

I'm going to assume that you just need help using the splash screen so try this. The "secret" is setting the project's Startup Object to Sub Main.

It looks ok.  I was hoping for something that looked closer to the windows circle that you see in Windows 7/8

I don't have windows 7 or 8. Can you post a picture?
