OneDrive for Business and folder permission

Hello all,

I want to ask how have you setup office 365 where you use the OneDrive for Business yet you want to keep the same folder structure and permission on each folder. in other words how to replicate the same folder structure that is in your local server with OneDrive for Business.

Any suggestion will be great!

Thanks.

OneDrive is not a replacement for file server, the idea behind it is to store personal documents. If you want other person to have access to a document in your OneDrive, you have to Share the document with them. You can easily have the same folder structure (be careful about the 5000 items limit though), but permissions are a different story.

Thanks Vasil for you advice.

Okay so is there anything that will allow to share a folder structure or do I need to stick to a file server?

Thanks.
