Setting proxy with PAC file

I want to set a proxy for laptops if they are on our network and leave proxy unticked if they are off our network.

I followed this: http://nscsysop.hypermart.net/proxypac.html

And created a PAC file with our internal IP settings: -
function FindProxyForURL(url, host)
{
if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "192.168.1.0", "255.255.255.0"))
return "PROXY 192.168.1.1:8080";
else
return "DIRECT";
}

I saved the file to C:\Windows\Proxy.pak and referenced the file in IE settings auto config script "file:///c|/windows/proxy.pac"

The proxy does not change wether on our network or on an external one. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

I'm sure it is just a typo, but just in case you said you saved the file to C:\Windows\Proxy.pak but you are pointing to proxy.pac, notice K vs. C as the last letter of the file.

Also instead of :

   file:///c|/windows/proxy.pac

i beleive it should be:

   file:///c:/windows/proxy.pac

Assuming your file name ends in pac and not pak
