Backup Exec 2014 and EMC DD160 DeDupe Option.....can't see storage

Running an EMC DD160 and Backup Exec 2014.  BE is installed in a virtual environment.  Originally could not see the dedupe option for storage.

Was advised that dedupe option license for BE was required as well as purchasing a DD Boost License for the DD160.  Have done so and installed both licenses.

Issue having now is that when I go to configure disk storage we cannot see the DD160, it only shows the local storage on the BE server.

Are we missing something?  According to BE instructions the DD160 should be seen as an option now

We are going to be wanting to backup a virtual Exchange 2010 server

We can see the VTL that we created on the DD160

Have you configured the DD160 as storage from within BE, or can you not see it when trying to configure the storage? Also, have you installed the OST on the BE server.

I cannot see it when trying to configure storage.

What is OST?

There are several steps to configuring DD. Rather than go through asking questions, below is a link that will step you through it. Verify what you have done against these steps. I know it says 2012, but the process is still the same.

That worked perfectly!  We were missing the plugin.

Thanks so much
