How can i form an event in an email so that it can be added easily to a phone calendar ie iPhone.

Greetings experts,

I have a list of assignments to send out to workers, typically a two week schedule.

I want to format the email so that when a link is selected within an email, it will add as calendar event, populating the new event field - with label, location, start and end and if possible, turn on alerts so they are reminded 2 hours before start of assignment.

Any ideas on how to start this. Kind regards. SJ

there is  so many ways to achieve what you need the link below explains one way of doing it, but if you explain a bit more about what System you Use (Win  or Mac ...etc) What email client you use i can send you more accurate response.

Hi Dash, thanks for your response. The email is generated from a program (c# visual studio) and can be formatted in html. I am keen to keep it as basic as possible so works on all devices/email programs.

Do we just create a link beside the detail so when clicked, it will insert the location, times, alert into the calendar event. Do you have a format to try?, thanks again.
