How to configure Exchange 2010 with external URL?

Hi guys

We have a new exchange server right now and all is working fine and well.

I have set up an external A record for the domain name 'mail.domainname.com' to point to the external IP on our firewall and that is also redirecting to the internal IP which is our Exchange server.

However, when I type this URL in to the web it goes to the IIS page, so obviously I haven't configured some sort of redirect?

How can I configure this to work correctly? is it in the IIS Manageer in the OWA virtual directory?

Thanks for helping

Use https://mail.domainname.com/owa for OWA.  Any HTTP:// requests will be directed to your Default Website - which is usually empty, so the behaviour is normal.

If you want to redirect all http:// requests to your server to OWA, then please follow this MS Guide:
