IBM Netezza server and what development tools are there? 3rd party tools that can be uses?

Hello,

We are currently a Microsoft server shop and now trying out a proof of concept with an IBM Netezza server. From what I understand IBM Netezza server doesn't have the same kind of interface or friendliest interface as you would find with a MS SQL Server.

Are there any 3rd tools out there that can interact with Netezza for development? Or would it be better to do development in MS SQL and the port everything over to the IBM Netezza server?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have heard of a lot of people using the Squirrel product.  You can find that here -> http://www.squirrelsql.org/

Works with a lot of different databases, not just Netezza.
