Windows Server Backups & Hyper-V Scheduling
I would like to use Windows Server 2012 R2 built in backup to automatically backup Hyper-V VMs once a week. I noticed that the only option is daily.
Also, I will be backing them up to a local D Drive on that server. I would like them to automatically replace the old backup with the new one and only keep one valid copy.
Can this be done?

Looks like VEEAM does not support Hyper-V in the free version... Is that correct?
Yep. Used it for esx and hyper-v. The 30 day trial is fully functional; you can run it on baremetal or on a vm.
If you are set on using the WBAdmin, there are some interesting notes in this thread about customing the scheduled tasks. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/5bf43821-1185-4bde-9afd-d066d86b4754/how-can-i-schedule-a-backup-less-than-daily?forum=windowsbackup

Do you still recommend VEEAM?
