How can we convert the vba code to c# code

Hi,

In the below function that i need to convert from vba code to c#.net,but this is not able to convert from vba to c#.net function.

may i know how to convert the datatype of "Variant" to c#.net.
 
 Public Function abc(id As Long) As Variant

you can try long or string. depending on the type of data needed from function
