several people are getting an error connecting to a 2003 web server from a Windows7 desktop: &nbsp;&quot;Because of an error in data encryption, this session will end&quot; 
 
So far I tried removing Qos and Link-layer topology mapper and driver from my client, but didn't help. 
 
About the only other thing I see online is to: 
 
Start Registry Editor. 
Locate and then click the following registry subkey: 
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters 
Under this registry subkey, delete the following values: 
Certificate 
X509 Certificate 
X509 Certificate ID 
Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the server. 
 
I am hesitating doing this because this requires a reboot and is a customer facing server. 
 
Any other ideas?

Server 2003 RDP Error

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).

Windows Server 2003

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.
