hi,

in a windows 8.1 machine, there is a small square at the bottom corner which minimizes all programs.  it is the one to the right of the clock.
it is so small I have trouble clicking on it.  is there a way to enlarge the space on the task bar  ?

No, there isn't.
We could create a shortcut and nail it to the taskbar, but I suggest you use the key combination winkey+d in the future.
