Network Repeater

Hi,

I bought this wireless network repeater (Edimax EW-7228APn), and I was wondering what I'm supposed to connect to.

Does it reinforce the original signal so I'll still connect to the original SSID from my cable modem, or does the new SSID it created become the signal I should connect to?

I'm a tad confused :)

Reason I ask is that the extender also has a visible SSID which I guess is just noise then.

Or should I have named that the same as the cable modem SSID?

When you do the site survey in the universal repeater mode, you choose the exisiting SSID. The Root AP SSID is the SSID name of your existing wireless network. The MAIN ESSID is the
SSID of EW-7416APn/EW-7228APn . It should be a different name with the Root AP SSID.
