Using outlook.com, it is possible to edit word or excel documents using a web app; it is also possible to use a local version of word or excel 2010 to edit locally and save to the web folder (one drive) of outlook.com.  Is there a way to use a locally installed version of Office 2007 Pro in order to edit locally outlook.com documents (without downloading/ uploading them manually)?

Sounds good - I could indeed open /edit /Save  the document in the local OneDrive folder, GREAT! - thanks
BUT for some reason it did NOT sync back to outlook.com.
The icon for that document and its containing folder had a different shape, meaning ready to sync or syncing. but no sync happened, and the tray icon for OneDrive said it had sync'd without a problem.
Any clue?
