I understand that in the long run that DDR4 will be far superior to DDR3. However, what about now? Just looking at the clock speeds and latency it seems that DDR3 is just as good or even better. Looking at the benchmarks i don't see anyone comparing similar speeds. For example they're comparing 2133 DDr4 to 1600 DDR3. Makes no sense. Has anyone tried DDR4 and right now is it really worth it? I know it's pretty expensive.
I'm thinking of upgrading in the next year or so, so i'm just kinda looking around.
