hyper v virtual machine lost network connectivity

Build a VM on Hyper V a couple month ago, windows server 2008 r2 standard.  It has license applied and was fine with static IP since.  Yesterday, the interface stopped working.  The hyper v server is fine and there is an interface selected for the VM and network settings are still on that interface when you go into the VM from the hyper v administrator.   What else could it be?  I read there is a check box to share the mgmt interface for the hyper v server.  I can't find that and the other 2 vms on the hyper v server are communicating fine.  Thank you for your help!

Shut down the VM, remove the NIC and add it again to see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks Mohammed, it seemed to be even easier.  I changed IP and it came up.  Apparently something else was using the address (very small business).  must be in dhcp pool and not reserved.  thanks!
