Phone Mask in Web Page

Hi Experts,

Is there any way that I can have a phone mask in a web page as (###) ###-####?

I see that HTML5's tel field is not yet supported in IE and FF.

Pattern masks could work but not in Safari
The only cross browser way is js/jquery

Safari is MAC, right?

Safari is on Windows as well (but hardly used)

There's several jquery plugins
