CSS z-index question

Hello,

On the left of this page there is a three horizontal dash that expands the side menu. If I click it it goes over the header and footer, how can I make it go behind them?

Also, once expanded a scroll bar is created on the right of the page, how can I eliminate that?

the z-index of your side menu is set to -999 (which is not really -999 but the max integer value - 999)
the z-index to your header and footer is set to 10000
so reduce it to your side menu z-index to 9999 or use a biggest z-index : 100000 is fine
