iOS 8 shared photo stream not rendered as photos on iPhone 4

Accepted invitations to join iOS 8.0.2 Photo Stream do not display photos. Image in iCloud Photo Sharing pane renders as as Apple Cloud symbol with no photos.

Photos from same source and received on same WiFi network render OK on local iPhone 5S and iPad 3. Settings...Photos and Camera are the same in all 3 devices: My Photo Stream & iCloud Photo sharing are on. All 3 devices are iOS 8.0.2

IOS 8 does not support the iPhone 4

Min is iPhone 4S  and on the 4S many of the new features are not supported

Best bet is iPhone 5 and above.

Whoops! My error, and sincere apology - iPhone with photo stream issue is iPhone 5 (not 4).
