Outlook 2013 and HTML e-mail displaying

Hi,

My Outlook client has suddenly started downloading all e-mails as Plain Text. I've tried looking in the settings (both in the Trust Center (E-mail Security/Automatic Download)) and there are no settings selected that force this option.

Any ideas?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Just4kix,

Follow the given below path and un-check the “Read all standard mail in plain text” option.

File >> Option >> Trust Center >> Trust Center Setting (button) >> Email Security

Hope, it would help you!!

Thanks & Regards

Hi, just4kix.

Since this just started, what has changed recently on your computer?  Also, what type of email server are you connecting to?  If it's an Exchange server, then you might want to check with your email administrator to see if s/he has implemented a group policy that's forcing all email into plain-text.

It appears that creating a new profile and a repair of Outlook has corrected the problem. Perhaps a corrupted registry value somewhere. Nonetheless, all now operational.
