Send phone numbers in Internet Explorer to a TAPI dialer.

I need a way to click on or even "highlight -> right click -> call" numbers in Internet Explorer and send them to my Xtelsio TAPI dialer on Windows 7/8.1 machines which would then call the number I am clicking on. This has to be done in Internet Explorer because we are using SharePoint. The phone system we are running on is FreePBX with Asterisk 11. How do I do this?

Thank you,

But are they your pages, or something you are bring up from another site ?

If they are your pages, look at using  jquery onclick()  to do this --

You might have a look at this library -- I think it would work for you -

I don't think there's a way for me to use this in Sharepoint. How would I modify the Sharepoint code to make this work?

Thanks

Sorry,  The specific implementation would be up to your developers and and Sharepoint manager(s).

With my level of knowledge of your installation there is no way to tell you what the code looks like behind the curtain (Monitor) or what you need to change to implement one of these options in your pages.

We aren't able to use this as a solution. What I'm interested in is a registry change (or a program) that allows me to highlight and right click a number in Internet Explorer and send it to my TAPI dialer. Or to just be able to click on phone numbers and send it to my TAPI dialer. I am not able to mess with the website coding.

Thank you

Sorry, short of a copy / paste I have no clue how you would do that if you can't add code to the page being displayed.

I remember a while ago I found a post there was a registry edit you could do and add a context menu in Internet Explorer to send the highlighted number to your TAPI dialer, but I can't find that post anymore. That is what I'm looking to do

Well, I have not used IE in years, and I really don't ever remember seeing any thing like what you describe --

Any interface I ever did / worked with required JavaScript / JQuery code be add to the web page being server.

If you find an answer please post it.

I understand, but thought that the concept of what that solution was doing might be at least a place for you to start --

Unfortunately I took a look at this and it seems to be completely self-contained so I can't, for instance, take the registry settings it uses and convert this to work with Internet Explorer.
