Cannot Connect two macminis with Airport Extreme

Two Mac Minis [Baryon and TopQuark] are connected to the Internet with an Airport Extreme using 8-port switch.

For Each Mac [Baryon and TopQuark]: System Preferences...Sharing...File Sharing - all users Read & Write

For Example, Go Network...Baryon...double-click returns  'Connection Failed.

These Macs are both on a home office network and security/access in not an issue at all. I want both Mac Minis to have full, no login access to each other - not as Guest access.

These support sites [http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13779http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13877?viewlocale=en_US] talk about issues such as:

Other users can access shared folders on this computer, and administrators all volumes, at ?afp://10.0.1.52? or ?smb://10.0.1.52?.

'Computers on your local network can access your computer at: Baryon.local'

How do I accomplish this?

Note: TopQuark uses Parallels 9/Windows 8.1
