How to trunk 3850 and 3750?
This is using 3 pcs of Cisco catalyst switch 3850-48, forms a stack. A Cisco Catalyst switch 3750 with sfp ports are used as core switch. However, when I tried to form a trunk between 3850 stack and 3750, I failed. Please help to show the correct way to form the trunk in steps. I found some forums state that you have to use etherchannel on top of the trunk, is this true?
thanks in advance.

For 3850, it is using NM module with 4 SFP ports.
Doesn't matter. Same command regardless of the module.

Do you mean from not even being connected? Do you know how to log in to the switch? Get to privileged mode? Global config mode?

Hi Don,
Is connected and managed to logged in, and I know the privileged and config mode. Please show only how to form the trunking on the interface.

The given command put the link in trunk. However, the gigabit1/1/1 to 4 can not be used. Use TE1/1/1 to 4 instead.
Etherchannel can be used with trunking ports.
