I found that the WIndows 8 mail app was causing the issue. Setting Outlook as the default through Windows defaults allowed the sending as attachment feature to work.

We have a user that has a Thinkpad Yoga with WIndows 8 and Office 2010. We just deployed it to him, but his Send as attachment feature in Word 2010 locks up his computer when he tries to use it. We use Echange for email and he is using Outlook 2010 which is set up and working.<br />

What he is doing:<br />

1) Edit a Word document using the Stylus Pen tools in Word<br />
2) Go to File | Save &amp;&nbsp;Send | Send as Attachment<br />
3) Word 2010 locks up and has to be ended via Taks Manager<br />
