How to reset password for a CISCO 3750 switch
Hi
We have couple of HP switches and these switches are connected through a fibre link to a Cisco 3750 (One link goes to switch- A and another goes to switch- B)
My predecessor had installed these switches and implemented LACP on these core CISCO 3750 switches please see the attached. All I know is we had some power fluctuations and the Core switches are connected to UPS , but not the HP edge switches. Now the PCs connected to the HP switches are not getting any IP from DHCP, I can see the link on both the sides. I think the fibre uplink port on the Cisco is disabled for some reasons.
These are other HP switches connected to the other fibre ports on the Cisco3750 switch and I am able to ping and get IP no issues.
They didn’t leave any password with me to log into this switch and check as why these fibre uplink ports are not working. This core switch contains lots of configuration and VLAN information.
Please can someone post me step by step instructions to reset the password without loosing any configuration.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Max
I am not very familiar with Cisco switches,
I have a spare Cisco 3560G series. I am trying to replicate a password recovery on this switch before I could do on the actual Catalyst 3750-X , 24 Port IP Base switch.
Will it be the same password reset procedure for Catalyst 3750 as I do for 3560.
Do I need to do the password reset procedure on the Master switch.
