add gmail email accounts without using generic email app

adding an additional gmail account so I can see the emails

when I click on gmail app I can see my one account
the add button is for composing email

Please do not tell me to use email app, because all I can see is manual setup.

1. Open settings for your phone
 2. Scroll down to Accounts section and click Add Account
 3. Select Google Account for Type to add
 4. Click Existing button to add an existing google account
 5. Enter Google email and credentials
 6. Click confirmation
 7. Goto gmail app and new account is available from menu slide from left.
