magento, timestamp product changes

Hello,

I am currently setting up a new store using Magento 1.9. I would like to have two automatic timestamps available in the catalog.

First, I would like to know the date the product was added

Second, I would like the date saved whenever the product is saved/updated.

Third, I would like this visible when editing the product.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Both timestamp are already in the database

In the magento template to show update date and time
echo date("Y-m-d", $_product->getUpdatedAt());

Thanks lenamtl,

Would you be able to explain a bit more detail? Which templates are actually used? I would like this to show up in the product grid under manage catalog > products. I know I can use a plugin to add additional attributes but this is not an attribute.

Thanks,
John

Hi,
 there is an extension that seem to do what you need
http://amasty.com/extended-product-grid-with-editor.html

The dates are already saved in the database, what you need is to display them where you want. Magento is using a MVC and you need to understand how it's work it's not very easy. You may need a dev for this depending of your skills.
