I get the error Excel 2013 cannot find the server.

I read articles that states three files need to be upgraded but I do not find any clear install instructions, they are:

sql_as_adomd.msi
sql_as_amo.msi
sql_as_oledb.msi

Do they install in sql server 2014 or where Excel 2013 resides, or a combination of the two?
Also, let me know if I can provide any additional information.
