How to Setup & Deploy Proxy Settings on an iOS Device

Hi All

        I have a TMG proxy server, currenty want to add an proxy exception list to IOS Devices, i am able to add exception list under IE from window 7, just wonder how do i do that on ios devices ? i heard that i need to create a .pac file and put it to the TMG server, would you share to me that any document can teach how to do that ? Thanks !

If the IOS device support proxy autodiscovery (WPAD), there is no need for a separate pac file. You can set everything under Networking - Networks - Internal, there you can define, what belongs to the internal server --> doesn't go over the proxy.

Autodiscovery has also be enabled in TMG via the Web Proxy Settings. Usually listens on port 80 (http)
If enabled, the client gets a configuration via the URL http://servername/wpad.dat
You can download a copy if you just put the link into a browser.

A pac file is more or less the same, but while a pac file is static,; the wpad.dat is changed via the TMG settings and created dynamically. You can use the wpad.dat as pac file and put it somewhere, where the client can download it via http and the give the cleitn the information, where to download it (can be any werserver.

whenever I put a proxy manually WhatsApp does not work? any solution please.
