Outlook 2013 don't update folders after resume from sleep mode

Hi everyone,

We recently migrated from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Online. Since then, from time to time, Outlook (2013) does not update folders when our users resume their laptop (Windows 7) from sleep mode, which means that they cannot see new mails incoming. The only way to make it work again is to repair or to recreate the mail profile.  Rebooting the computer or even doing a full Online repair does not work, hitting "Send/Receive all folders" does nothing, and when checking the Connection Status, everything is clear, and Outlook is "Connected to exchange server".

It happened 4 times to 4 different person, the only common denominator was that it happened after resuming their laptop from sleep mode. I am out of ideas about how to solve this permanently. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

This is by design. Have the users' restart outlook to reinitialize the connection.

If that does not work, you can always go through tools > account settings > change > and then go through the rest of the setup. I had to disable sleep mode at my company.
