Win 8 Tablet Restore

We are having issues with Lenovo Tablet freezing and were simply going to restore the OS. We get message:

Insert Media "some files are missing" ...Kind of at dead end....Also would like to upgrade to 8.1 but not in Store

0 locate your windows key
1 Download 8.1 as an ISO -> http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/windows-81-tip-download-windows-81-iso-windows-8-product-key
2 Use MS' "USB download tool" to write it to a USB drive
3 boot of that USB drive and install 8.1, when asked for a key, use a key for your edition from here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867.aspx (for core [="home"] use 334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT )
4 after installation, switch back to your original key and activate it.

Turned out to be bad hardware.
