Missing Rules

Have a client with Domino 9 and 8.5.3 clients. Using the 8.5 Mail Template. I have ONE user who at some unknown time mail filtering rules stopped working.  Upon inspection of the inbox rules, the Tools->Rules option is missing. All that shows up under Tools is Stationary.
Compacted the DB, Refreshed design, Replaced Design, fixup all did nothing to show the rules option again. Everything else appears to work fine. Other users rules show and work fine as well.

Any ideas?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yup, more like a hunch...

The rules are inside a hidden Folder with the name "(Rules)". This folder It could be that the thing got corrupt, or that the documents just "fell out", and I wouldn't know how to put them back in.

What you could try though is recreate the folder. Open the design of the mail database in the Domino Designer, open the Folders section, click (Rules) and delete it. Then, use File/Application/Refresh Design to get the folder back in. Finally, close the Designer. Close the mail database in the client (or close Notes altogether) and reopen it. Is Tools/Rules visible?
