MS Office Document Locked by the Author

I have issues with my own documents locking me out. Especially with PPT. I get messages that say the document is read only and I have to save under a different name...

Is another process open or what??

What version of office is in play here?

MS Office 2010.

Doh!! I forgot about the tmp/locked files thing!! I will try that!!
