Intel ME FW Recovery Agent?

Is there any independent site that evaluated whether this software is any good/necessary/detrimental?
Should I trust the Intel web site's narrative?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

So far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to have any "bad" side effects.
Whether you install it or not, depends on if you want it to help keep OEM equipment on your network updated (more of a yes for a business, no for home use).
