I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You may have set it up using POP/SMTP protocol, which will only keep a local copy of the sent emails that this particular client has sent since being configured. Deletions and forwarding and everything else are also affected. For example, if you had three computers all set up this way, each would only have its own sent emails, and not be synchronized with each other. In order to synchronize your folders between the inbox and the server you will need to use IMAP or Exchange protocol instead of POP/SMTP.
