email tracking Exchange

I created a distribution group in Exchange and made myself the sole member [for now]. I assigned an email address. I also added the email account  to our cloud-based spam filtering service like I always do. Internal email is working fine but if i send email to this account from the outside I'm not receiving it. I'm not getting any bouncebacks, either. I've checked my junk email folder, too.

Where can I determine the point of failure? I've set up other distr groups in the past without an issue.

What version of Exchange are you using? If it's 2007 or 2010, did you create the group via the Exchange Management Console?

If so you will need to untick the Require that all senders are authenticated box in the Properties of the distribution group > Mail Flow Settings tab > Message Delivery Restrictions

This setting is enabled by default for any distribution groups created via the GUI.
