Hi,

I have no idea why is this way.  I installed dropbox desktop on three different pc in two different networks.  Dropbox would only sync one way, from local to dropbox.   It will download the files to local from dropbox.  The only way to fix it is to close dropbox desktop and open again, it will download the files for only once....any ideas?  thx

On the computer, right click on DropBox, see the gear icon (settings) top right, click on the settings icon and review the preferences.   Look in the Account tab, and check if you do or don't need proxies in the Proxies tab.

My settings are all out-of-the-box default and DropBox syncs to all machines and smart phones. All my devices are on the same subnet. I take it your devices are not on the same subnet.

Try uninstalling DropBox on the computers, restart them, download the most recent version (this past weekend) and installing it fresh. Then try syncing again.
