Hi Experts,

I'm running Exchange 2010 SP3 on Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise with SP1.

I need to purge this server and need to backup email boxes separately in to PST files. There will be about 120 email boxes.

Hi, you can do this using EMS and the new-mailboxexportrequest cmdlet

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ff459227(v=exchg.141).aspx

See also for ideas of performing the operating in bulk.

Have you migrated your mail server role away from on Premis Exchange ? if you have another mailbox server you can move the mailboxes and uninstall the role?
