GWT RequestBuilder.setHeader or java.net.httpUrlConnection.SetRequestProperty

Hi Experts,

I am setting a header (sometimes with GWT, sometimes with httpurlConnection).  This header may have some characters that are not URL ready.  But headers are not URLs.  Do I need to URL.encode() the value of the headers?

I think it probably depends on the characters and language.  The standards that apply are here

You probably want to work through from section 3.2 to see what applies to what you are doing.

This is perhaps a less academic presentation that might be a little clearer, but it is a bit old:

If you provide detail about what you are trying to put in the headers and what problems you are encountering, we might be able to give a more definitive answer.
