Hyperlink to record in Excel on network

Experts, what is the code to open an excel file on the network where ID = ID?

I have an excel linked report and I want to make an "on click" event procedure.

thank you

maybe it is better to link to the linked table instead of the excel file on the network?

I'm not sure what "ID" is, or how it's related to your Excel file. Can you give more information on what you're trying to do?

Scott, when you open a form with a where condition it is sometimes where ID = ID.

Docmd.openform,,,"id="id

Something like that but instead of opening a form I am opening an excel file on the network.  I have counted each row and labeled the column as ID.

It might be a lot easier than I have explaines

Thank you

I see ... in that case, it would very likely be much simpler to link the Excel workbook, as you suggested above.
