How to set IE 10 compatability mode for local Intranet site

Hi All,

I have one intra net site that require IE 10 to run, the rest of our intranet sites need to run at IE 8 compatability. How to set the compatability modes for this site in IE 10 and ensure that the remaining sites defualts to IE 8.

We are running Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 2008 Servers R2

F12
Scroll down and click the Emulation icon
There is a little cog and bar icon at the top of the window - make sure it is enabled
Select IE10 in the dropdown

Done.

Gary,

I need to set one intra site to IE 10 and the rest of the intranet sites to IE 8.
 Can u pls send a screen shot of the Cog and Bar icon, i'm not seeing those?

In the Emulation section to the right of the title Emulation should be the icon
Else add a meta tag to the site.

<meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE10" >

Gary,

how to add a meta tag to the site, I have not this before.

Will this effect the only site I need to be running on IE 10 or this is for the rest of the sites,

sorry for keep asking u

In that sites HEAD section just add that meta tag immediately after the opening <head> tag.
That will force IE11 to act as IE10
