Hello there,

What are the steps to reverse image in Citrix PVS VHD image?

Please advise.

There are multiple ways to do it.  But, the way I was most comfortable was to:

1. Attach a new vDisk at least large enough to match the production disk.
2. Boot the VM
3. Make sure the disk partition on the new disk is marked active.   Note the drive letter.
4. Run a converter utility - You can use XenConvert, or bnimage.exe (C:\Program Files\Citrix\Provisioning Services\bnimage.exe on the system).  You'll deposit the new image on the attached physical disk.  (Personally, I've had better luck with bnimage).
5. When it is complete, shutdown the system.
6. Go into the BIOS of the PVS device and set it to boot to local disk and not from network.
7. Boot the VM and validate that you can login properly.

That's it :-)  Once you are booting from that local disk, you can upgrade your PVS software, or any other software that touches the network stack.
