ASA 5500 boot variable

I have na asa that the boot variable is one ios version and the current BOOT variable is another version. How do I fix this, is it a problem?


BOOT variable = disk0:/asa914-k8.bin
Current BOOT variable = disk0:/asa914-k8.bin
CONFIG_FILE variable =
Current CONFIG_FILE variable =

Define boot in your config

boot system disk0:/asa914-k8.bin

Save config

copy running-config startup-config

or

write memory

At the end

show running | i boot

sorry, I think I pasted the wrong command above, what I meant was. I copied over to flash code asa915 and did a:
#)boot system flash:/asa915-k8.bin. Then up bootup after a reload I get:

Cannot find disk0:/asa914-k8.bin

Error 15: File not found

Loading disk0:/asa915-k8.bin... Booting...
Platform ASA5505

The I do a #show bootvar and get this below.

BOOT variable = disk0:/asa914-k8.bin;disk0:/asa915-k8.bin
Current BOOT variable = disk0:/asa914-k8.bin;disk0:/asa915-k8.bin
CONFIG_FILE variable =
Current CONFIG_FILE variable =
0

When you add boot command, you actually append filenames of boot images, separated by semicolon.
if you type

show runnig | i boot

you Will see that you first boot line is asa914-k8.bin, and the second line asa915-k8.bin

OK, to fix this problem:

conf t
no boot system disk0:/asa914-k8.bin
write memory
0
