How to capture key press event in Excel formula bar using VBA?

Hi All,

I need to capture an event when ever user types in excel formula bar.

Is there any way to work around for the above requirement.

Using just VBA, it is impossible to run a macro when Excel is in edit mode. This includes events.

Whilst you can use an API timer callback to fire VBA code in Excel regardless of Excel's state, It is not safe to try running VBA code while a user is editing a formula. You risk crashing Excel if you try to do that.
